Alicia Adamson

Senior Contract Attorney

Alicia began her legal career with RBA after graduating from Mercer Law School in 2019. Becoming an attorney was Alicia’s third career—before law school, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) and worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice, experiences that sparked her lifelong passion for helping children and families.

After five years practicing family law with RBA, Alicia returned to her roots and opened her own firm dedicated exclusively to child welfare law. In her practice, she represents both children and parents involved with the Department of Family and Children Services and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Alicia is also a registered civil and domestic mediator, bringing a balanced and solution-focused approach to every matter she assists with.

Although Alicia no longer litigates family law cases or takes clients directly through RBA, she remains a valued part of the RBA family. As a contract attorney, she works closely with the RBA team behind the scenes to support clients and ensure they receive knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive service throughout their case.

Having personally navigated divorce and shared custody, Alicia understands firsthand the challenges families face during times of transition. That experience deepens her empathy and fuels her commitment to helping others through difficult chapters with care and understanding.

Outside of her legal work, Alicia has been married for 20 years and enjoys spending time with her two adult children.
